Agricultural and veterinary chemicals are used in Australia to control pests and disease in both plants and animals. The use of such chemicals has environmental and public health and safety implications. The evaluation, approval, registration, supply and use of Agricultural and veterinary chemicals in Australia is controlled through a co-operative legislative system between the Commonwealth, States and Territories known as the AgVet Scheme. |
