Water Law in Australia
The allocation of entitlements to water in Victoria occurs under the legal framework established by the Water Act 1989 (Vic). The Water Act 2007 (Cth) provides for the management of water resources in the Murray-Darling Basin, and makes provision for other matters of national interest in relation to water and water information. |
