The Greentree cases resulted from the illegal clearing of a RAMSAR wetland in northern NSW. The other cases in this series are listed below in the “See Also” section.
This is the substantive case that followed the interlocutory injunction discussed in Minister for the Environment & Heritage v Greentree [2003] FCA 857 (8 August 2003). In this case the Federal Court found that Mr Greentree had breached the EPBC Act and that he and his company were liable for a civil penalty (a fine).
