Some of the ways the Act achieves these objectives include;
establishing State Wildlife Reserves, which may be classified into State Game Reserves, State Game Refuges, State Fauna Reserves, Game Management Stations or other classifications as specified (management plans to be created);
makes it an offence to:
take, destroy or willfully disturb wildlife in State Wildlife Reserves (excluding State Game Reserves), or native flora in Nature Reserves, unless obtained authority of Minister;
hunt take or destroy threatened or protected wildlife without a licence or authorisation;
remove soil etc. or dump debris without authority, or interfere with any structure that delivers water to reserve;
acquire endangered, notable or protected wildlife;
have a cat or dog under your ownership attack wildlife while on public land (excluding dogs in pursuit of game);
kill, take, injure etc. a whale;
